Beekeeping First Aid Course

Wirral Beekeepers have arranged an exciting, comprehensive half day course covering all of those mishaps in the apiary which you hope wont happen but sometimes do and also... how to take care of your back! There will be a session on Basic Life Support, CPR.

Time: 09.00am -1.00pm

Venue: Pensby Recreation Centre and Bowling Club Tiplady Hall, 408 Pensby Rd, Pensby, Wirral CH61 9PE

Cost: £37.00 per person

WBKA members only 

Course to include refreshments and a certificate.

Join us to learn how to deal with everyday minor problems in the apiary, burns and stings, but also those more concerning, but thankfully rare incidents such as serious sting reactions and what to do in case of anaphylaxis. 

We are also covering basic life support, CPR, which is something we should all be trained to do, as it's a potential life saver. For good measure we'll also be giving some advice on manual handling in the apiary; something that breaks most H&S rules!

The training will be provided by Parsons Training Services, who offer a wide range of first aid courses and have kindly agreed to tailor a course specifically aimed at beekeepers for a great price.
